Privacy Policy
Us Brothers Studios LLC ("Us Brothers Studios", "we") makes small games and tries to collect as little about you as possible. This policy covers this website and our games, including Ore Crusher. If you have any questions, email us at Lucas@usbrothersstudios.com.
The short version
- We don't sell your data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers.
- Our games keep your progress on your device.
- We only receive what you choose to send us: a contact message, or a leaderboard name.
This website
The site doesn't set cookies, doesn't use analytics or advertising tools, and loads everything (including fonts) from our own domain. Because nothing optional is stored on your device, there's no cookie banner to accept.
Contact form. When you send us a message, we receive the email address, subject and message you enter. To stop spam we also store a one-way hash of your IP address. That lets us limit how many messages one connection can send, but it can't be turned back into your IP address. Messages are stored securely and forwarded to our inbox so we can reply. We keep them only as long as we need to handle your request, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Our games
Game progress. Your saves, settings and unlocks are stored on your device. If you delete the game, they're deleted with it.
Leaderboards. Posting a run to a leaderboard is optional. If you do, we receive:
- the display name you choose, which is shown publicly, so please don't use your real name;
- a random identifier the game creates (not linked to your Apple ID, Google account or device hardware);
- your run's results, such as depth reached and ore collected;
- a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to prevent cheating and spam.
Leaderboard entries are kept while the leaderboard is running. Ask us and we'll remove yours.
Purchases. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. We only receive confirmation of what you've unlocked, so the game can restore it.
Ads and analytics. Our games don't currently show ads or use analytics services. If we add optional rewarded ads or analytics later, we'll update this policy first, and we'll ask for your permission wherever the law or your device (for example, Apple's App Tracking Transparency) requires it.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU and UK, and the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. We give everyone these choices, wherever they live. To make a request, email Lucas@usbrothersstudios.com. We don't sell personal information.
Security and storage
The little data we hold is stored with Cloudflare, which may process it in the United States and other countries. We protect it with access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage is perfect, but we keep only what we need, which keeps the risk small.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If we start collecting something new, we'll say so here before we do.
